Classic!

Ridiculous!

http://www.stumbleupon.com/s/#2dEHIr/www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1913858,00.html/

I am against weight loss tricks and trends. Surgeries, "flushes", etc. I also believe that there is
no such thing as the "perfect" body type. Some of us are tall and others short. Some have a thicker frame and some have a leaner one. BUT whatever body style you may have there is no excuse to sit around and eat junk. "Be Strong to Be Useful". That doesn't say be ripped or be skinny or be an olympian, it says Strong. The definition of strong - 'likely to succeed because of sound reasoning or convincing evidence". To me that means, being prepared. Most of us live in a sugar coated world but one day you or I may be called upon to step out of, or worse, yanked out of that world, and I will be Ready. I will Be Strong to Be Useful.

Do your worst

“Life is a storm my young friend.
You will bask in the sunlight one moment,
be shattered on the rocks the next.
What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes.
You must look into that storm and shout, as you did in Rome,
‘Do your worst…for I will do mine.’”

World-Class Fitness in 100 Words:

Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar.
Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat.
Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.

Breaking Point

To know oneself completely should be any athletes ultimate goal.
To accomplish this, every limit should be pushed.
Not only physically, but also mentally and spiritually.
Your body will keep going until it literally breaks.
The mind will constantly throw caution when the bodies limits are
being pushed beyond what the mind thinks is safe or comfortable.
But every centimeter that the body is pushed beyond the "safe zone"
the mind broadens its perception of comfortable.

To become the Best I must physically go beyond the "breaking point"
and find comfort where most others will feel pain and see caution.

I will become more than pain. I will know myself completely.
