Believe In Yourself

This clip is from the movie 'Walk The Line'. A biopic about Johnny Cash, country music legend. In the scene Johnny Cash and his band, are auditioning for Sam Phillips, owner of Sun Records.
Now I don't honestly know if this exchange actually happened. But what I do know is that the words spoken during this scene are very powerful. Think about it, Johnny Cash is basically claiming that he is passionate about singing and that during that song he is giving it all he has. But Sam Phillips, who has seen many many talented and passionate artists before Mr. Cash (Sam Phillips gave Elvis his first record deal) says that he doesn't believe Johnny.

Have you ever been there? Claiming to love something or saying that you are giving it all you've got, but deep down you know you aren't giving 100%. And just like Sam Phillips does in this clip, everyone around you can tell you're faking it. Passion is contagious. When someone is fired up and truly passionate about something, others can't help but to be around that kind of drive. When you find your passion there will be no need to claim it, because it will be you. Your eyes will show it, your words will speak it and your actions will prove it. Whatever that thing it is you HAVE to do, GO DO IT! GO BE IT! GO LIVE IT!

"If you was hit by a truck and you was lying out there in that gutter dying, and you had time to sing *one* song. Huh? One song that people would remember before you're dirt. One song that would let God know how you felt about your time here on Earth. One song that would sum you up. You tellin' me that's the song you'd sing? That same Jimmy Davis tune we hear on the radio all day, about your peace within, and how it's real, and how you're gonna shout it? Or... would you sing somethin' different. Somethin' real. Somethin' *you* felt. Cause I'm telling you right now, that's the kind of song people want to hear. That's the kind of song that truly saves people. It ain't got nothin to do with believin' in God, Mr. Cash. It has to do with believin' in yourself."

What is your "one song"?
