Trust

"Every morning is a fresh beginning. Every day is the world made new. Today is a new day. Today is my world made new. I have lived all my life up to this moment, to come to this day. This moment -- this day -- is as good as any moment in all eternity. I shall make of this day -- each moment of this day -- a heaven on earth. This is my day of opportunity."
-Dan Custer

Trust

Trust your heart. God put, in every single one of you, the kindling to ignite a fire within you. That fire is what we call passion. God doesn't just hand us the matches, and say, 'ok light that fire'. Nope, that would be no fun. He embedded what is needed to ignite your passion. But he set you out on a journey to find your matches. That journey is called life. How genius that is!

Just because what you are after is not achieved today doesn't mean that you should give up.

I guarantee you Dan Jansen thought he had completely failed. He promised his sister, just before she died, that he would win gold in his Olympic race. Not only did he not win gold, he came in dead last. Think about that, think about the emotions flowing through Dan. He made a promise and in his limited eyes, he didn't deliver. But that isn't true. He didn't fail at all, his timing was simply off. God knew better. How much sweeter his victory lap must have been, six years later, carrying his daughter, who was named after his sister. The same sister he promised he would win Olympic gold. If you asked Mr. Jansen, if he failed his sister now, I bet he'd say no.

Just because you haven't found your matches, doesn't mean you quit. Trust your heart. Live this LIFE.
